President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has arrived in Lviv for a meeting with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

"At the Field of Mars in Lychakiv Cemetery, Lviv, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen and I paid tribute to the fallen defenders of Ukraine," Zelenskyy wrote on Facebook.

Zelenskyy said that Ukrainians will never forget the heroes who defended their country’s independence, freedom and future. "Eternal glory to all those who gave their lives for Ukraine!", Zelenskyy said.

It is the fourth visit by the Danish Prime Minister to Ukraine since 24 February 2024.

The last visit took place in last September, when she met with Zelenskyy.

Before the visit, Mette Frederiksen has announced a bilateral agreement with Ukraine, which guarantees security support to Kyiv for the next 10 years. However, there has been no public signing ceremony for the agreement yet.

This happened after similar agreements were concluded with France and Germany.
