Zelenskyy's office reveals details of his plans while in Norway and Italy on 15 April

Wednesday, 15 April 2026 —

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a further series of meetings in Norway in the first half of Wednesday before travelling to Italy.

Zelenskyy's spokesman Serhii Nykyforov stated that Zelenskyy is scheduled to hold a series of meetings in Norway on the morning of 15 April, specifically with the Speaker of the Storting (parliament) Masud Gharahkhani, leaders of political parties and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.

"He will then fly to Italy for meetings with Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers, and President Sergio Mattarella," Nykyforov said.

The meeting with Meloni is expected to begin at approximately 15:30 local time (16:30 Kyiv time).

On 14 April, Zelenskyy began his visit to Norway and met with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, having been in Berlin earlier that morning for a meeting with Chancellor Friedrich Merz.

During Zelenskyy's visit, Kyiv and Oslo signed a declaration on defence partnership. Støre also announced that at least the first of the F-16s promised to Ukraine by Norway, currently undergoing repairs in Belgium, will "soon" be ready to fly.
