Czechia among states affected by drone incidents near strategic locations
The Czech Armed Forces have reported that Czechia has also experienced sightings of unidentified drones near strategic sites, including military facilities.
As reported by Czech news outlet IDNES, Czech General Staff spokeswoman Zdeňka Sobarňa Košvancová said in Czechia there have been cases of unknown drones being spotted near important infrastructure facilities, including military sites.
"However, the list [of these facilities] is classified information," the spokeswoman said.
She also did not specify when this happened.
Košvancová said Czech forces are prepared to detect, identify and neutralise such drones either by shooting them down or by using radio‑frequency interference, depending on the circumstances and risk assessment.
On Thursday 9 October, Estonia reported that it had recorded a violation of its airspace by a "small object", but it was definitely not a large attack drone.
Sweden is investing SEK 3.5 billion (US$367.11 million) in additional anti-drone systems.
